A pastor accused of raping a 14-year-old girl after
telling her that she was possessed by an evil spirit was
yesterday further remanded to prison by Magistrate Hazel
Octive Hamilton when he made a second appearance at the
Georgetown Magistrate's Court.

Orville Lespoir, 38, of Lodge is accused of committing
the act on April 26.
According to reports reaching this newspaper, on the
day in question Lespoir who has been a pastor for the past
12 years, picked up the juvenile from a house and took her
to D'Aguiar Park.
While there he reportedly told the girl that she had an
evil spirit in her and he was a spiritual leader. Lespoir
reportedly told her that in order to get the demon out he
had to have sex with her.
Lespoir, a father of nine, was later arrested and
charged with the crime. He made his first appearance
before Principal Magistrate Melissa Robertson-Ogle last
week and was remanded to prison.
The matter continues on July 6.
